The Merchandising Product Manager is a Product Manager with deep merchandising and category expertise who owns the shape, health, and economics of assigned product lines and assortments. This role is accountable for identifying product and assortment gaps, determining the optimal path to market (build, manufacture, or source), owning product business cases, and delivering against revenue, margin, and lifecycle performance targets. This role combines core Product Management responsibilities with advanced merchandising and category leadership, ensuring product portfolios are strategically sound, commercially viable, and effectively merchandised across wholesale e-commerce platforms and relevant reseller channels.
◦ Own product portfolio strategy and assortment gap identification. ◦ Determine product path to market (build, manufacture, or source). ◦ Build and manage product business cases including revenue, margin, pricing inputs, and unit economics. ◦ Own product lifecycle decisions including iteration, repositioning, and sunsetting.
◦ Analyze categories to identify assortment gaps and growth opportunities. ◦ Recommend product additions, deletions, and assortment changes. ◦ Monitor category performance and adjust strategy based on data and insights. ◦ Develop category roadmaps and assortment strategies.
