The Business Analyst is a key member of the Client Delivery Team and works closely with Practice Leaders, Engagement Managers, and Consulting Partners to deliver value-add solutions to Supply Chain Alliance Ltd.’s clients. This role operates as an analytical business partner to Client Delivery leadership, independently structuring analytical workstreams and translating complex data into decision-ready recommendations that drive measurable outcomes. The role includes gathering of business requirements, in-depth data analysis, preparation of client workshops, development of client specific recommendations/improvements, implementation of new initiatives, and supporting operational start-up or turnaround activities. The Analyst will also be confident in presenting results to clients and implementing recommendations in collaboration with other team members.

  • The Analyst reports to the Practice Leader, Client Delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and analyze requirements, and work collaboratively with the client delivery team using Supply Chain Alliance Ltd.’s methodologies to develop impactful recommendations and solutions
  • Independently structure and execute analytical workstreams
  • Document client business requirements and recommend and implement processes and best practices
  • Analyze and diagnose the current state, conduct root cause analysis, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate and present information that will facilitate timely decision-making that summarize findings and recommendations
  • Integrate, cleanse, and synthesize data to develop actionable insights
  • Develop professional and brand-representative reporting and related client output
  • Provide continuous improvement on business analysis methodology, processes and templates
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions

Conduct client interviews

  • Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Actively assess project/engagement risks, provide mitigation plan and escalate issues to Engagement Managers/Principals

SKILLS AND COMPTENCIES

  • Supply chain industry and domain knowledge

Relevant experience and/or exposure to supply chain and logistics assessments, logistics facility design and process optimization, distribution network design, TL/LTL/parcel/intermodal transportation, planning and inventory management, supply chain software, third party logistics, etc.

  • Strong analytically with the ability to draw insight from assorted data
  • Skilled in tools such as Excel, ETL, PowerBI, Python, SQL, and AI
  • Experience developing process flows and mapping
  • Ability to learn and grasp complex business operations quickly
  • Critical thinker able to understand, organize, and articulate problems
  • Effective problem solver able to correctly identify root causes, conceptualize and communicate practical solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, directly with clients, and with cross functional stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Able to thrive in ambiguous and challenging work environments with shifting demands
  • Ability to prioritize, work to deadlines, and manage across multiple assignments
  • Dedication to client service excellence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate in French is an asset
  • Ability to travel (extensively at times)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of five years of relevant supply chain, operations, and/or consulting experience
  • Experience and accreditation in supply chain would be a strong asset
