About the role

Fishing Planet is an independent game studio made up of talented and dedicated people who created a successful free-to-play game from scratch. Today, Fishing Planet is available on eight platforms — Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile (iOS and Android). Our global community now includes over 35 million players and continues to grow every day.

Building a successful free-to-play simulator is about much more than creating a game. It involves developing and maintaining a complex ecosystem of gameplay mechanics, physics, backend infrastructure, and internal tools. At Fishing Planet , you'll have the opportunity to take on diverse challenges, learn from experienced colleagues, and contribute directly to a product played by millions of people around the world.

We are currently looking for a Unity Developer to join our team and help shape the future of Fishing Planet across multiple platforms.

Your impact

  • Development of gameplay logic for complex F2P game:
  • Developing core gameplay mechanics,
  • Supporting and extending already implemented game features,
  • Developers toolkit improvements and implementation,
  • Performance optimization.

You will bring

  • 5+ years of programming experience,
  • 3+ years of game development in Unity, solid understanding of Unity engine,
  • Senior skills in .NET Framework and C#,
  • Understanding of multithreading and synchronisation patterns,
  • Knowledge and understanding of design patterns and OOA&D,
  • Basic understanding of shader programing,
  • Fundamental mathematics and physics background as well as experience with game physics engines will be a great plus.

Will be a plus

  • ECS experience,
  • HDRP experience,
  • Unity DOTS experience,
  • Unity Burst Compiler utilization experience.
