About the role

Hitapps is a GameDev company specializing in Puzzle Games. We have several successful products in both categories with a combined total of over 150M+ downloads, and we are regularly featured in the top charts in the Games section.

Currently, we are seeking a skilled Technical Artist .

Your Role

  • Import, configure, and optimize 2D assets (sprites, atlases, sprite sheets) with mobile-ready import presets;
  • Set up texture compression per platform, balancing quality / build size / RAM;
  • Manage Asset Bundles, Addressables, and the resource build process;
  • Write shaders and work with the Built-in Render Pipeline, exposing parameters for artists;
  • Shader animations and procedural effects: dissolve, distortion, SDF, material tweening;
  • Build VFX components for artists: particles, glows/emission, decals, trails, plus tools and presets;
  • Profile performance and implement optimizations: draw calls, batching, overdraw, texture weight, particles;
  • Build and improve the technical pipeline: tools, scripts, and plugins (C#, UI Toolkit) for artists and animators;
  • Work closely with artists, game designers, animators, and programmers — translating creative requirements into technical solutions and vice versa;
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for pipelines and tools;
  • Debug and resolve technical issues at the intersection of art and code.
  • What makes you a perfect fit?
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile gaming projects;
  • Understanding of Data Oriented Design Principles as a plus;
  • Experience optimizing games for mobile platforms;
  • Understanding of client-server interaction;
  • Proficient in C# and ShaderLab/HLSL;
  • Expert-level understanding of the full art pipeline: modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, and VFX;
  • Experience designing and maintaining shader/material systems at scale for a full project;
  • Attention to detail and systems-level thinking;
  • Deep understanding of Unity and the impact of Garbage Collection, Reflection, LINQ, etc. on performance.
