How you’ll make a difference The Certification Compliance Program Manager is responsible for managing PMI’s Quality Management System (QMS) and the related policies, procedures, records, and controls that support PMI’s certification programs. This role ensures the QMS is effectively maintained, consistently implemented, and aligned with applicable quality and personnel certification standards, including ISO 9001 and ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024. Partnering with Certification, Exam Integrity, Exam Operations, Legal, Privacy, Product, Customer Care, and external vendors, the Program Manager drives policy governance, audit readiness, process improvement, corrective action management, and cross-functional compliance initiatives that protect the credibility, consistency, and defensibility of PMI’s certification programs.

What you’ll bring to the role

Bachelors degree in a related discipline

10-12 years of experience in compliance, quality management, certification operations, accreditation, audit management, risk management, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience managing or supporting a Quality Management System, including document control, process governance, corrective action management, internal audits, and management review activities.

Strong ability to interpret standards, policies, audit findings, and operational requirements and translate them into clear, practical procedures and implementation plans.

Excellent communication, facilitation, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

Strong data literacy and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize audit evidence, process data, findings, and risks into actionable insights and executive-ready reporting.

Experience developing policies, SOPs, process maps, compliance matrices, training materials, and other controlled documentation.

Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 preferred.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, anticipate risks to scope, schedule, and quality, and drive work to completion in a dynamic environment.

High attention to detail and sound judgment when handling sensitive, confidential, or audit-relevant information.

Ability to use Microsoft Office products and related collaboration tools proficiently while working remotely in a dynamic environment.

Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed; limited travel anticipated.
