Position Overview

As a Collections Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the accounts receivable portfolio to optimize collections performance and minimize outstanding debts. This role involves monitoring payment trends, identifying risks, and providing actionable insights to improve the efficiency of the collections process. You will be working closely with finance, sales, and customer service teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolution of overdue accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable to identify overdue payments, trends, and potential risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce delinquent accounts.
  • Generate detailed reports on collections performance, aging balances, and payment trends for management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address payment issues and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Contact clients to negotiate payment terms, resolve disputes, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing collections processes and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of collections activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, collections, or financial analysis (2-3 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with credit risk assessment and collections strategies.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems and project accounting environments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SQL is desirable.
